Seminar ''Assessing the impact of cultural awareness and public perceptions in NATO operations''
On 24 October 2013, the NATO Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Czech Republic in its function as NATO Contact Point Embassy in Jordan, organised a high-level seminar on “Assessing the impact of Cultural Awareness and Public Perceptions in NATO Operations”.
The seminar was opened by H.E. Mr. Jiří Šedivý, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to NATO and by H.E. Ambassador Thrasyvoulos Terry Stamatopoulos, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, and the Keynote Speaker was H.R.H. Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein of Jordan.
The panels of the seminar focused on various topics, including Cultural Awareness, Public Perceptions and Lessons Learned from Operations; Cultural Awareness and Public Perceptions Best Practices – Views from Partners; Cultural Awareness and Public Perceptions Best Practices – Views from NATO Allied Countries; and Concluding remarks by Colonel Azzam Alrawahneh, Chief of Analyses Branch, Centre for Studies and Lessons Learned, Jordan Armed Forces, Amman, Mr. Nicola de Santis, Head, Middle East and North Africa, PASP, NATO HQ, and by H.E. Mr. Jiří Šedivý, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to NATO.
The seminar was attended by high-level officials from NATO and its partners countries.
