| 01 Sep. 2020 |  | Today (1 September 2020), the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) received the first of three shipments of Precision Guided Munitions (PGMs) for 2020, acquired through one of NATO’s multinational High Visibility Projects involving 13 Allies and one NATO partner(1). The PGMs, produced in the United States, are arriving between three to twelve months ahead of schedule. The total value of this acquisition is over 44 million US dollars. |

Second aircraft in NATO’s future multi-role tanker transport fleet arrives in the Netherlands The second aircraft in NATO’s future fleet of multi-role aircraft arrived in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on Monday (10 August 2020). The milestone follows the arrival of the first aircraft from the production facility in Getafe, Spain on 30 June. By the end of 2024, the full fleet will consist of eight Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft, with an option to extend the contract up to eleven aircraft in the future. |

Eleven Allies launch Multinational Initiative on Pilot Training Eleven NATO Defence Ministers launched on Friday (19 June 2020) an initiative to create a network of training facilities for pilots across the European continent. The Ministers of Defence of Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey signed a Letter of Intent confirming the establishment of the NATO Flight Training Europe (NFTE) initiative, in order join forces for the training of fighter jet, helicopter, fixed wing and drone pilots. |
