NATO strengthens political dialogue with Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Javier Colomina completed a trip to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Serbia, he met the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, he held talks with the Chairman of the Presidency Sefik Dzaferovic, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josip Brkic, and the Assistant Minister for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Sainovic. |

He also visited the NATO Military Liaison Office and gave a lecture at the University of Defence Military Academy. Throughout the visit, Admiral Bauer was accompanied by Colonel Milan Ranković, the Serbian Military Representative and Head of the Mission to NATO. |

NATO Secretary General meets with President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia at NATO Headquarters on Wednesday (17 August 2022), saying he welcomed the opportunity to continue discussions on recent tensions in northern Kosovo. While noting that the situation on the ground has improved, Mr Stoltenberg called on all sides “to show restraint and to avoid violence”. |

The Director General of the NATO International Military Staff visits Serbia From 23 to 25 May 2022, the Director General of the NATO International Military Staff, Lieutenant General Hans-Werner Wiermann was in Serbia, where he met with Serbian officials, including the Minister of Defence, Mr Nebojša Stefanović, the State Secretary from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nemanja Starović and the Chief of Defence, General Milan Mojsilović. The Director General also met with the Head of the NATO Military Liaison Office, Brigadier General Antonello Zanitti. |
