NATO Emergency Management Exercise "BULGARIA 2025"

NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection (DG FSCP) of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior are organizing NATO’s 20th Emergency Management exercise, “BULGARIA 2025”. The conduct of BULGARIA 2025 will be from 7 September 2025 to 12 September 2025.

NATO-built shelter site opens for quake survivors in Türkiye

Following February’s devastating earthquake in Türkiye, the first people began moving into tented accommodation provided by NATO on Monday (10 April 2023). Located in Antakya, the temporary relief site will provide housing, food and water for up to 2,400 people seeking shelter. NATO is also setting up temporary shelters in Iskenderun and Defne for thousands left homeless by the earthquakes.

Secretary General: NATO stands with Türkiye, working to deploy shelters and tents

In a visit to Ankara on Thursday (16 February 2023), Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg offered NATO’s deepest condolences to the Turkish people and all those affected by the devastating earthquakes of 6 February. He conveyed this message of solidarity in meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdoǧan and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
