25 Apr. 2024 | German scientist Dr rer nat Karin Stein received the Von Kármán Medal, NATO’s most prestigious science award, on Thursday (25 April 2024) for her 30-year contribution to international collaboration on science and technology at NATO. Dr Stein, who currently leads the Signatorics Department at the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation in Karlsruhe, Germany, is the first woman to receive the Medal. Her career is a testament to the importance and value of women’s leadership and their role in advancing scientific research. | |
