Born in 1965, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

PhD in Constitutional Law - Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Joined the Spanish Diplomatic service in 1994.

Ambassador Permanent Representative of Spain in the North Atlantic Council since September 2018.

Counsellor for Parliamentary Affairs in the Spanish Permanent Representation to the European Union (20215-2018).

He also served in the Spanish Embassies in Algiers (1995-1997), The Hague (1997-2000) and Tegucigalpa (2000-2003).

Between 2006 and 2008 he served as Ambassador of the Kingdom Spain to the Democratic Republic of Congo and between 2011 and 2015 as Ambassador of Spain to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative Observer to the African Union.

In Madrid several positions held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defence (Director of the Private Office of the Minister) and in the Spanish Parliament (Director of the Private Office of the Speaker).
