January 2011 - July 2014: Advisor to the Executive Director, Nordic and Baltic Countries, World Bank, Washington DC, USA. Primary responsibilities included i.a. Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan, later also Latin America, Fragile and Conflict Affected Situations, Disaster Resilience, International Development Association, World Bank – UN relations.
June 2010 – December 2010: Coordination Officer, UNAMA, Kabul, Afghanistan. Primary responsibilities Civ-Mil relations, including coordination with ISAF HQ and IJC. Presented on UNAMA both at NATO School Oberammergau PRT and Intelligence courses and at NATO ARRC HQ.
July 2009 – June 2010: Deputy Director Development, Stability Division ISAF HQ, Kabul Afghanistan. Coordination within HQ and with sub-commands, Allied Embassies, International Organizations represented in Afghanistan and civilian Line Ministries on behalf of COMISAF. Representing and briefing on behalf of Stability Division in- and outside command, including at press briefings, NATO School Oberammergau and NATO HQ.
June 2008 – June 2009: Director, Strategic Planning and Exercises, Iceland Defense Agency, Keflavik, Iceland. Managing relations with relevant agencies and ministries, both domestic and abroad. Coordinating Defence Agency preparations and execution of Air Policing deployments and exercises. Civ-Mil relations, Political and Military Affairs and strategic planning.
June 2007 – June 2008: Counselor, Defense Department, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Reykjavik, Iceland. Primary lead on concluding bilateral discussions with United States on Iceland's assumption of operating the Radar Agency, whose primary responsibility was and remains the operation of the Integrated Air Defense System in Iceland. Part of working group preparing the establishment of the Iceland Defense Agency.
