US Army helicopter training in Germany
The US Army's 12th Combat Aviation Brigade keeps a company of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters stationed at Katterbach Army Airfield near Ansbach, Germany. The Apaches regularly train with other NATO Allies across Europe, giving troops (especially Joint Terminal Attack Controllers) the useful experience of working with US air support.
