(As delivered)

OK. Good morning, good to see you all, and thank you for yesterday evening, that was an excellent dinner. And then I think we are ready to start.
And welcome to this meeting on NATO’s deterrence and defence. NATO’s core mission is to protect our citizens and defend our territory. Today, we will take further steps to bolster our defence. We will review progress on the deployment of our four multinational battle groups in the eastern part of the Alliance. We will also address how to better counter cyber-attacks, which are becoming more frequent and complex.

And we will discuss the threat from hybrid warfare, and how to make our societies more resilient. So we will continue to adapt our Alliance to keep our nations safe.

This ends the public portion of the meeting.

And once again, thank you so much to the media who joined us this morning.
