NATO Secretary General to visit Australia
The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will visit Australia from Wednesday 13 June till Friday 15 June 2012.
During his visit, Mr. Rasmussen will meet members of the Australian Government, including Prime Minister The Rt Hon Julia Gillard and Minister of Defence The Rt Hon Stephen Smith. He will also sign, on behalf of NATO, a Joint Political Declaration between Australia and NATO.
Mr. Rasmussen will also deliver a keynote speech at the National Press Club entitled “The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and Australia – Tackling Global Security Challenges Together”
