NATO Secretary General to visit Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will travel to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on Thursday 8th October and Friday 9th October 2009.
In Tallinn he will meet President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet and Minister of Defence Jaak Aaviksoo.
In Riga he will meet President Valdis Zatlers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Riekstins and Minister of Defence Imants Viesturs Liegis.
In Lithuania he will meet President Dalia Grybauskaite, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Usackas and Minister of Defence Rasa Jukneviciene. Moreover, the Secretary General will pay a visit to the air base Zokniai in Siauliai hosting the NATO air policing mission and deliver a speech on NATO’s role in the XXIst century and the new Strategic Concept at the Vilnius University.
