NATO Secretary General to travel to Kazakhstan

The NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will travel to Astana from 24 to 25 June 2009. He will meet President Nursultan Nazarbayev, with Minister of Foreign Affairs Marat Tazhin and with acting Minister of Defence Mukhtar Altynbayev. The Secretary General will also meet with the Chairman of the Senate, Mr. Kasymzhomart Tokaev and address the Academy of State.
On Thursday, 25 June the Secretary General will chair the opening plenary session of the EAPC Security Forum and give a keynote address.
