NATO Secretary General to visit the Federal Republic of Germany

The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will travel to Berlin from Wednesday, 6 November until Saturday, 9 November 2019.

During his visit, Mr. Stoltenberg will have meetings with the Federal President, Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Federal Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Heiko Maas, the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, and members of the Bundestag.

On 6 November, Mr. Stoltenberg will receive the Manfred Wörner Medal at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Defence.

On 7 November, Mr. Stoltenberg will deliver a keynote speech at the Körber Global Leaders Dialogue on “NATO at 70 – the Bedrock of European and Transatlantic Security”.

On 9 November, the Secretary General will attend a ceremony to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, hosted by Governing Mayor of Berlin, Mr. Michael Muller with the presence of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Frank Walter Steinmeier.
