Title
Risk Management of Terrorism Induced Stress - Guidelines for the Golden Hours (Who, What and When)
Mechanism
Advanced Research Workshop
Dates
14 - 16 Sep 2018
Location
Odessa, Ukraine
Description
The proposed Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) will focus on the risk management of Terrorism Induced Stress (TIS) and update the guidelines for the golden hours, which provide a critical window of opportunity for intervention following a terrorist incident. It will do so by bridging clinical practice and neuroscientific mechanisms underpinning long-lasting and hence pathological responses to TIS. The ARW will result in a series of conference papers and an edited volume in the NATO Science Series. It will provide guidelines on the immediate intervention after terrorism, a research agenda on how to monitor affected persons exposed to terror as well as an outlook at society as a whole.
