NATO Secretary General to visit the French Republic

The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will travel to Paris on Monday, 18 and Tuesday, 19 December 2017.

During his visit, the Secretary General will meet the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Florence Parly, the President of the Assemblée nationale, Mr. François de Rugy and the Chief of Defence, General François Lecointre.

The Secretary General will also meet the President of the National Defence and Armed Forces Committee, Mr. Jean-Jacques Bridey and French members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Mr. Stoltenberg will deliver a speech at l’École militaire at the invitation of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale and the Institut National des Hautes Etudes de la Securité et de la Justice, entitled “Adapting NATO in an Unpredictable World” followed by a Q&A session.
