Following the groundbreaking ceremony in October 2013, construction started on the Aegis Ashore at the Deveselu Military Base in Romania, which will be operational in the 2015 timeframe. An additional Aegis Ashore will be operational in Poland in the 2018 timeframe. Enhanced interceptors and associated software will be deployed in 2015 timeframe (SM-3 IB) and the 2018 timeframe (SM-3 IIA).
