Secretary General commends Italy’s contributions to NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg praised Italy for its major contributions to the Alliance during an official visit to Rome on Thursday (27 April 2017). At a joint press point with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Mr. Stoltenberg underlined Italy’s role in driving NATO’s adaptation to threats from the south, including terrorism and failing states. The two leaders also discussed preparations for the meeting of NATO leaders in Brussels.
