Virtual launch of the NATO Secretary General's Annual Report for 2019

Precautionary measures are in place at NATO Headquarters to limit the further spread of the COVID 19 virus, including restricted visitor access. In light of these measures, the Secretary General will for the first time hold a virtual press conference on Thursday 19 March 2020 at 11:15 to launch his Annual Report for 2019.

NATO is offering media representatives the option to ask questions to the NATO Secretary General during the Q&A session following his presentation.

For this purpose, NATO intends to use the video communication application, Skype (https://www.skype.com)

Coverage and distribution

The press conference will be available in original sound, English, French, and Russian worldwide on satellite, live on www.nato.int as well as on Twitter (@jensstoltenberg) and Facebook.

Original sound, as well as an English, French, and Russian version will be available on the NATO website after the event.

Professional-quality videos and b-roll will be available for download from www.natomultimedia.tv.

This is an event for media representatives. All media representatives wishing to ask questions during the press conference via Skype are kindly requested to register following the link below:

Deadline: no later than Tuesday 17 March 2020 at 12:00 noon (Brussels time)

Media representatives in possession of a NATO annual media pass (2020) are also required to register.

In order to ensure optimal video and sound quality, NATO will ask you to make yourself available in advance to test the Skype connection.
