Release of the Secretary General’s Annual Report for 2012

The Secretary General’s first Monthly Press Conference of 2013 will be held at NATO Headquarters on 31 January 2013 at 11h00. On this occasion, the Secretary General’s Annual Report for 2012 will be released to the public.

The press conference will be followed at 11h45 by the New Year’s reception offered by NATO Secretary General to all media representatives.
Coverage and distribution
The press conference will be available in original sound, free worldwide on satellite and live on NATO’s website. Original sound, as well as an English and French version will be available on the NATO website after the event.
NATO will offer audio-visual products of the press conference on the NATO website or via the TV/Radio unit (see contact details below).

Attendance confirmation
This is an event for Media representatives. Those media representatives wishing to attend are kindly requested to confirm their presence by email at press@hq.nato.int (deadline: Wednesday 30 January at 11h00).
Accreditation
Media representatives holding a permanent 2012 or 2013 NATO media pass will access as usual.
Media representatives not in possession of a 2012 or 2013 NATO media pass and wishing to attend the event are invited to request accreditation directly at the main entrance of the NATO Headquarters, on 31 January, starting from 10h00.
They will have to present an ID and a valid press card (provided by a recognised national professional body of a NATO country – i.e. Government, Professional association, Union….).
Those media representatives not having a valid press card (as listed previously) are invited to send a signed letter from their editor to NATO Press and Media Service, not later than Thursday 31 January - 09h00 (fax +32.2707.1399; email: press@hq.nato.int ).
