New NATO Headquarters Revised design Industrial Infrastructure Background New NATO Headquarters - Revised design The Industrial Infrastructure building is located at the north of the site and built along the east-west axis. It is situated close to the service entrance. The north part of the building houses mainly the functions involved in day-to-day exchanges with outside the site, such as garages, unloading docks and containers. The south part houses mainly the functions relating to the inside of the site such as the workshops and the plant rooms. The two parts are connected by a central corridor which also lies along the east-west axis. The outside spaces are laid out to be functional, whilst paying particular care to the treatment of the approaches so that the vegetation allows the impact of the building and the manoeuvring areas to be limited upon views from the street outside of the compound.
