NATO Secretary General meets with
United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon

On 24 September, the Secretary General met with a number of international leaders, beginning with a bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.

The two Secretaries General focused on Afghanistan, where they agreed on the need for improvements in the areas of governance, police training and international coordination of civilian efforts.

The Secretary General also met with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Russia and Turkey. He then delivered a speech at the Global Creative Leadership Summit on the future of security in the 21st Century.
