This NATO Codification System website is provided as a public service by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) under the supervision of the NATO Allied Committee 135 (AC/135).

No profit no-loss operational model

NSPA is a customer funded Agency, operating on a "no profit-no loss" basis. All prices listed on this website, as well as any current or future price adjustments are set in order to support NATO Allied forces or the member countries. By visiting this website and subscribing to any NATO Codification System service, you are actively supporting NATO and Allied Nations operations.

Requirements for the external use of the content of this website

  • No material produced by NATO & NATO bodies is to be sold, used for outside advertising or promotional purposes of any kind
  • No material from this website is to be used for profit.
  • All content taken from NATO or NATO bodies and republished must be clearly credited or sourced to the respective NATO body.
  • Photos, videos and articles are released under the legally recognized terms of "Fair Use" to members of the press, academia, non-profits and the general public.
  • No material is to be used in programs, articles or online publications of any kind that defame NATO, NATO bodies or its member countries.
  • Material is provided, free of charge, for use in objective and balanced content, even if at times the end products may be critical of NATO, NATO bodies or its member countries.
  • In instances where a member country is criticized, NSPA wishes it to be made known that it does not associate itself with the contents of the article, publication or broadcast.

Terms of use of Codification Data

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using the NMCRL applications and NATO Codification data website as well as any NATO Codification System related documentation or application (the "Service") operated by NSPA on behalf of the AC/135 ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms then you may not access the Service.

Introduction

The user of the Service agrees that NMCRL and all NATO Codification data is for official use only. Copy and/or further dissemination with or without remuneration in whole or in part is not permitted.The user of the Service agrees that NMCRL and all NATO Codification data is for official use only. The following Terms of Use apply when viewing or using any of the NATO Codification System database, website or documentation such as the NATO Master Catalogue of References for Logistics (NMCRL) data, the Name & Class Lookup tool (NCL) or the NCAGE Request Tool. The NATO Group of National Directors on Codification Allied Committee 135 (AC/135) is the responsible authority to license access to all codification related data.

1. License

Upon subscription, AC/135 hereby grants to the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-assignable entitlement and license to use the NMCRL or Service for the duration of this license, subject to the Licensee agreeing to be bound by the non-disclosure provisions stated herein.

The NMCRL includes "limited rights data" owned by certain NATO countries and certain manufacturers and such data constitutes Proprietary Information belonging to these entities. As required by the NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 4438 on the Codification of Equipment Uniform System of Dissemination of Data Associated with NATO Stock Numbers, the Licensee shall protect the confidentiality of this Proprietary Information as stated in these Terms of use.

When accessing Codification Data outside of a License, such as NCAGE or NCL databases, the entity or person accessing the data shall protect the confidentiality of this Proprietary Information as stated in these terms of use and agrees to not share the data outside of its scope of work.

The License commences on the first day of the month selected by the user and remains valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months. The customer is required to settle the full payment within 30 (thirty) days from the date of subscription via credit card or direct transfer in EURO, as indicated on the invoice. If payment is not received within this period, access to the license is automatically suspended. The User remains liable for the payment of the first 30 days of access to the license, irrespective of the suspension. The User shall not be entitled to any compensation or extension of the license duration in the event of suspension due to late payment. NSPA shall not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused by the suspension.

2. Non-disclosure

The Licensee agrees:

(a) that the use of Proprietary Information to which the Licensee is granted access under this license shall be strictly limited to the Licensee. The Licensee is forbidden to repackage the NMCRL data or to transfer it by any means or in any form to third parties not party to this license;

(b) that the Licensee shall not, without prior written approval from AC/135, disclose or provide access to NMCRL Proprietary Information to anyone who is not an employee of the Licensee;

(c) to report any unauthorized disclosure of NMCRL data to the AC/135 as soon as possible;

(d) to adopt operating procedures and security measures to properly safeguard NMCRL Proprietary Information from unauthorized use and from disclosure or release to unauthorized persons, to the same degree as the Licensee protects his own information of similar confidentiality.

3. The term "proprietary information"

Shall not apply to such portions of the NMCRL data which:

(a) become generally available to the public.

(b) become available to the Licensee on a non-confidential basis from a source other than AC/135 which is not prohibited from disclosing such information to the Licensee by a legal, contractual or fiduciary obligation.

4. Termination

In the event of a breach of any provision of this Terms of Use by the Licensee, AC/135 may terminate or suspend access to the related service immediately, without prior notice or liability.

5. Acknowledgement

By accessing or using the NMCRL and Codification related data, you signify your agreement to abide by the Terms of Use.
