AC/310 SUB-GROUP 3 ON ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY TESTING OF MUNITIONS
The Sub-Group 3 on Environmental Safety testing of munitions is concerned with defining the climatic, mechanical and electrical environments to which munitions may be exposed, and devising test procedures to establish the safety and suitability for service of munitions when exposed to these environments. The Sub-Group also develops Insensitive Munitions (IM) test documentation and is responsible for harmonizing the IM procedures with those of the Hazard Classification Community in order to reduce test requirements. The full Terms of Reference are at Annex E-3 of the Handbook on the Aim, Organization and Working Practices of the Group. Promulgated documents produced by the Group: (Standardization Agreements (STANAGs) state NATO policy related to the Terms of Reference of the Group, and Allied Publications (APs) amplify and provide guidance on that policy.)
