In the previous issue, SFOR Informer published some (quite recent) pictures of the DETAIR during the last years.
The editorial staff received many testimonies about the war between 1992 and 1995. Some people requested pictures from this time, when allied soldiers were working under the mandate of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) and, just after the war, under Implementation Force’s one (IFOR). In those times, life was not so easy and comfortable as today.
Thanks to the French military archives, your newspaper is able to publish some of those pictures. They pay tribute to men and women, of which eight were killed while defending Sarajevo Airport between 1992 and 1995.
