Bradina - Feb 25 members of the 1st Recce Platoon of the French Battle Group (FRBG) monitored members of the Federation Army on the ranges. This was part of their ongoing role to gather information within the FRBG area of responsibility.

Sarajevo - Members of the Property Legislation Implementation Plan (PLIP) conducted a press conference at SFOR's Coalition Press Information Centre in Sarajevo, Feb. 13. The panel discussed 2001 statistics for the implementation of the property laws in BiH.

Heavy fire over Glamoc

 

Glamoc - Feb. 21 and 22 the Canadian Battle Group conducted a major combined arms exercise at Glamoc shooting range. Infantrymen from the Royal 22nd Regiment, trained with the support of the Artillery. Even close air support flights were planned.

Dutch, Italians: together for Joint Resolve

 

Novi Travnik - Joint Resolve XXV was bigger this year, expanding from Banja Luka into Novi Travnik when an Italian company from Sarajevo augmented the Netherlands' soldiers who attended the training exercise in the North.

Weapon Out-processing

 

Zenica - The Turkish Battle Group (TU BG) supervised the destruction of illegally kept weapons in the steel factory of Zenica. Inhabitants had handed them over to local police units during Harvest operations.

Hungarian's last inspections

 

Doboj - Feb. 11 and 12, Hungarian sappers inspected and carried out maintenance on the Doboj III bridge. It was one of their last missions. The contingent leaves the theatre at the end of March, after six years of service.

Team-building, different mindsets

 

Jahorina - This ski resort hosted soldiers of both Entities working side by side. Italian Eighth Mountain Regiment instructors of Italian Task Force "Gemona" provided BiH soldiers with a one-day basic course in traversing snow, first aid and winter survival.

Royal Engineer Peace-keepers Help Fight Cancer

 

Sipovo - The soldiers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team stationed in Sipovo and Banja Luka rowed, cycled and ran their way back to the United Kingdom to raise more than 1,500 British Pounds (2,400 Euro) for The Anthony Nolan Trust.

Sarajevo and Gorazde - Feb. 20, soldiers of the Hellenic Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina distributed humanitarian aid in Sarajevo and Gorazde. They went to Austria to transport the goods collected by Austrian municipalities.
