Accord FM, The voice of SFOR

 

Mostar - Accord FM is the MND SE broadcasting station in Mostar Airport. The station has been transmitting since 1997. It covers an area of more than 6600 square kilometres, which includes Mostar, Nevesinje, Gacko, Trebinje, Ravno, Metkovic and Ljubuski.

Deep Ski Patrol

 

Nevesinje - The silence was broken by the noise of helicopters. The clamor announced the arrival of an Italian helicopter patrol. Two helicopters landed on the snow, dropped off their passengers, and departed in only two minutes. Then the patrol began.

DBG's surviving in the snow

 

Bugojno - It must have been a weird scene for the local people skiing on the ski run near Route Emerald between Bugojno and Novi Travnik. For several days Dutch soldiers in full marching-kit were hiking into the hills on so called 'Laplanders'.

Helicopter crashes near Ploce, Croatia

 

A French SA342 M1 Gazelle helicopter assig-ned to SFOR's Southeastern Multinational Division in Mostar, crashed into the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Ploce, Croatia at approximately 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20.

T-55 Removal inc.

 

Route Sparrow - On Jan. 17 the Theatre of Operations Support Element (GSA) from the Italian Battle Group (IBG) carried out a request made to SFOR by the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) to transport a T-55 tank from Zvornik to Pale Koran.
