The Gurkha Band in BiH

Sarajevo- The Band of The Brigade of Gurkhas has travelled to Bosnia and Hercegovina for a one week tour, and played in the main British Camps : Banja Luka, Sanski Most, Sipovo and Mrkonjic-Grad, as well as in HQ SFOR, at Camp Butmir. In Butmir they Sounded the Retreat in the presence of the British Ambassador, Graham Hand. The Band also played tunes like "Zorba's Dance", "High on a hill" "Sunset" and the Brigade March "Yo Nepali".
The Gurkhas are an ancient nation from the mountains of Nepal. They have served in the British Army for over 180 years and their reputation as soldiers is known world-wide.
At present, the Band is posted in Folkestone, Kent, and directed by Captain Neil Morgan assisted by Captain QGO (Queen's Gurkha Officer) Gaubdr Gurung.
