Dr. Andrey Larichev presently serves as Deputy Director of Medical Physics Center of Moscow State University. He is one of the persons who founded this newly formed unit of the Physics Department. At the same time he is Senior Scientist of the Institute of Laser and Information technologies (Russian Academy of Sciences). He has number of well known publications in the field of adaptive optics, metrology and nonlinear optics.

For the past 5 years his major field of activity has been Physiological (ophthalmic) optics and application of adaptive optics technologies in medicine. In the framework of this research and development a laboratory led by Dr.Larichev created several advanced optical instruments for studying human eye properties. Among them are clinical Super-Resolution Multicpectral Fundus imager (co-developed with Kestrel Corporation under NATO Science for Peace grant) and Shack-Hartman aberrometer. Both instruments are currently in use in major Russian Clinics.

He is married to Tatiana Laricheva. And they have a child.
