The operation "Firewood Express 1" has been ongoing in Kosovo this week. During the operation, KFOR troops from the Belgium National Support Element and the Greek Support Unit have been transporting 1,200 cubic meters of firewood from the city of Leposavic, Multinational Brigade North, to Kosovo Polje, Multinational Brigade Centre. The firewood has been donated by the Japanese non-governmental organization AAR. KFOR have been using military vehicles to bring the cargo to the population of Kosovo Polje. The operation "Firewood Express 2" is planned for next week, and will transport firewood from the village Novo Brdo to Gracanica, both in Multinational Brigade Centre.

A Kosovo Albanian man was shot in a bar in Pec, Multinational Brigade West, at 01:00 hrs this night. He received head injuries and is in a serious condition. The man was transported to hospital in Pristina with a KFOR helicopter.

One machine gun, two magazines, ammunitions and some explosives were found during a search operation in a house in Istok yesterday. The owner of the house is in detention with the Spanish Military Police.

In Klina yesterday, a Kosovo Albanian man was arrested after having pointed his gun to a representative for the International Organization of Migration, IOM. When the KFOR patrol left the scene, an unknown person shot at the IOM car, but there were no injuries.

A KFOR explosive ordnance disposal team yesterday disposed of several munitions and marked an amount of others in the vicinity of Mokra Gora, 20 km west of Mitrovica, Multinational Brigade North. The rest will be disposed of by the non-governmental organisation BACTEC.

In Vucitrn, at 13:45 hrs yesterday, a grenade was thrown at a butchery shop in the city. One individual was injured. KFOR troops cordoned off the area and evacuated the injured. The incident is handed over to UNMIK police for investigating.

Yesterday at 17:15 hrs, a KFOR reconnaissance vehicle rolled over while conducting a boundary patrol in the area of Multinational Brigade Centre. The crew of three was recovered by helicopter, none of them with serious injuries.

A road traffic accident occurred seven kilometers north of Urosevac, Multinational Brigade East, at 01:00 yesterday, involving a KFOR vehicle and a civilian car. Two civilians were injured in the accident and brought to hospital in Urosevac with minor injuries.
