KANDAHAR, Afghanistan--Graduates of the Basic Engineers course taught by members of the Canadian Opertional Mentoring Liason Team (OMLT) stand at attention after receiving their certificates of completion during a ceremony held at Camp Hero on February 5, 2009. Fifteen graduates completed the four-week course that taught fundamentals in mine detection and demolition, field defense, and basic carpentry.

AHMADI, Afghanistan - ANA 207th Corps Commanding Officer Major General Jalandar Shah Behnam greets the village elders at Ahmadi Village west of Herat on March 30, 2009. ANA doctors assisted ISAF and U.S. doctors with a medical civil affairs program that benefitted over 1100 people in a village that doesn't have a clinic. The ANA also provided humanitarian assistance to the village.
