ISAF service members killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan - Three International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members were killed in an aircraft incident in southern Afghanistan, yesterday, July 6.

“Our hearts are with the loved ones of the three ISAF service personnel that were killed in this tragic incident earlier today involving an ISAF helicopter.  We have great respect and admiration for the ISAF members who operate in this very challenging environment to improve the living conditions of the Afghan people” said Brigadier-General Éric Tremblay, ISAF Spokesperson.

“As they valiantly fought for a safer world and a better future for the citizens of Afghanistan, they will remain with us forever.”

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
