Four ISAF service members killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — Four International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members from Canada were killed in two separate Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attacks yesterday in southern Afghanistan.

“With deep sorrow, we offer our condolences to the families and friends of those killed, and our support to those wounded in these incidents,” said Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette, ISAF Spokesperson.  “We will honour these soldiers' lives by steadfastly continuing our mission, to bring security and hope to the people of Afghanistan.”

Next of kin have been notified.
