Two ISAF soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan on 15 March.

KABUL, Afghanistan - An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier was killed and another died of wounds after an Improvised Explosive Device attack on 15 March in southern Afghanistan.

"I am saddened to announce the death of these soldiers, and offer our sympathy to the soldiers’ loved ones," said Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette, ISAF Spokesperson.  "Through our actions in support of the Afghan people, we will honour their lives and this sacrifice."

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been notified.
