Three ISAF soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan - Three International Security Assistance Force soldiers died of wounds suffered in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in southern Afghanistan yesterday. 

“It is with grief that we inform you of the loss of these brave soldiers as we offer our heartfelt condolences to their families,” said Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette, ISAF Spokesperson.  “These soldiers lost their lives while striving to make Afghanistan a safer place for Afghans, and their sacrifice will be honoured.”

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been notified.
