Three ISAF soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — Three ISAF soldiers were killed in an IED strike yesterday morning in southern Afghanistan.

“These soldiers died honourably, helping bring security to Afghanistan,” said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. “These dedicated professionals have risked their lives for a safe and stable Afghanistan.  Our thoughts go out to their families during this time.”

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been notified.
