Afghan teenager killed in accident involving ISAF convoy

KABUL, Afghanistan - An ISAF convoy accidently killed an Afghan teenager in Kabul 11 November.

The event began when an Afghan teenager suddenly ran out in front of an ISAF convoy. The lead vehicle moved to avoid hitting the boy, but the second vehicle in the convoy unfortunately struck him.

ISAF forces called an ambulance to the scene, but they were unsuccessful in saving the boy’s life.

“This is a deeply regrettable accident,” said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. “I offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
