ISAF soldiers killed in western Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan - Two ISAF soldiers were killed in western Afghanistan 9 November when a suicide bomber exploded his car near a patrol. Four other ISAF soldiers were injured.

“One can appreciate that this is a very difficult time right now, and our sincere condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of the brave soldiers who died,” said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. “At this time we are doing everything we can to assist our injured troops.”

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
