ISAF soldiers killed in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two ISAF soldiers were killed in eastern Afghanistan when a patrol struck an IED Sept. 20.

“I offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those killed by the blast,” said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. “We have lost two valuable members of our team, and this loss will be felt across ISAF.”

It is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
