ISAF helps wounded civilians

KABUL, Afghanistan - ISAF provided medical assistance to two civilians wounded when insurgents fired upon a base in Kunar and missed Sept. 10.

Insurgents had fired three motors; two of the rounds missed and landing outside of the base. Following the attack, two civilians, one of whom was a child, came to the base for treatment of their shrapnel wounds.

ISAF doctors treated and released the child. The other civilian was evacuated to a larger ISAF treatment facility for care.

One ISAF soldier received minor injuries from the attack.
