ISAF soldier dies in northern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan - A German ISAF soldier died from wounds received during an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strike August 27 in northern Afghanistan.

 

“Our deepest sympathies are with the soldier's family and friends as they deal with their loss,” said Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. “This soldier’s life was taken while helping the people of Afghanistan build a better future.”

Next of kin have been notified.
