ISAF Regional Command Capital brings aid to the population of Kabul

KABUL, Afghanistan - The Italian troops of the ISAF Regional Command Capital completed the delivery last week of several handbooks, donated by an Italian company, translated into local dialect, for better use of computers and network equipment, to the Children Hospital of Kabul.

With this donation the main pediatric public hospital of the city can begin the implementation of its information system.  All the computers have been equipped with a software designed for the management of clinical records, the out-patient department, the emergency room, laboratory, and the hospital’s pharmacy.

The Italian Contingent also distributed food to 25 families belonging to a humanitarian organization, the Afghan Women’s Council; it also distributed enough medicine to treat 250 children to the Afghan National Association of Deaf. Additionally, 2,000 pairs of shoes was delivered to Orthopaedic Hospital of International Committee of Red Cross in Kabul, donated by an Italian NGO.

These projects are part of a wider program for the improvement of better life conditions for the people in the Kabul region.
