KABUL, Afghanistan - More than 20 members of the Kabul City Police (KCP) are now better prepared to react to crime after receiving staff course training by the specialized officers of the Italian contingent.

The KCP staff course started at Camp Invicta here May 31 and finished Aug. 7 during a ceremony.

The staff course, organized by the Italian contingent, taught various techniques on how to plan activity, how to collect information and how to use personal computers in the conduct of police work.

The training was divided into three sections. The first focused on expanding the officers’ knowledge of the English language in order to conduct joint activity with NATO forces, the second covered modern techniques of collecting information, and the last section explained the way to develop operational planning.
