Four ISAF soldiers, one civilian die in IED strike

KABUL, Afghanistan - Four ISAF soldiers and one civilian died following an IED strike in Kunar province Aug. 1.

“This is a very difficult time right now, and our sincere condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of the brave soldiers and civilian who died,” said British Royal Navy Captain Mark Windsor, ISAF spokesperson. “Their families and friends are in our thoughts as they grieve for their loved ones who died while helping bring peace and stability to the Afghan people.”

It is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
