Two children, two ANA killed in a suicide IED in Helmand

 

KABUL, Afghanistan - The Taliban used a young teenager as a suicide bomber to attack an Afghan National Army camp in Helmand province at mid-day July 12.

The boy approached an ANA camp in the Marjah district. On being searched by an ANA soldier he was found to be wearing a suicide vest, and the vest detonated shortly afterwards, killing the boy and two ANA soldiers

One Afghan National Police officer, one local man and two other children were also injured, one of these children later died from their injuries. The remaining injured are currently being given medical treatment by ISAF and are in a stable condition.
