ISAF soldier dies from injuries in northern Afghanistan


KABUL, Afghanistan - An ISAF soldier died July 12 from injuries sustained in an explosion in northern Afghanistan.

“Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends of the brave soldier who was killed today,” said British Royal Navy Captain Michael Finney, ISAF spokesperson. “We have lost a valuable member of our team and this loss will be felt across ISAF. This soldier’s life was taken while helping bring peace and security to Afghanistan.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been notified.
