One ISAF soldier dies, three are wounded in Uruzgan


KABUL, Afghanistan - One ISAF soldier died from wounds and three others were wounded when their patrol struck and IED in Uruzgan province July 8.

“We are saddened by this brave’s soldier’s death, and our deepest condolences go the soldier’s family and loved ones,” said British Royal Navy Captain Michael Finney, ISAF spokesperson. “These brave soldiers were injured while helping bring peace and security to the people of Afghanistan.”

It is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin has been notified.
