One ISAF soldier dies from wounds in Nangarhar

KABUL, Afghanistan — One ISAF soldier died from wounds today after an ISAF patrol hit a mine in Khogyani district, Nangarhar province. Three others were also wounded.

“We are saddened by this brave’s soldier’s death, and our deepest condolences go the soldier’s family and loved ones,” said Brigadier General Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson. “These dedicated professionals have risked their lives for a safe and stable Afghanistan.”

It is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
