One ISAF soldier dies, four are wounded in Paktika

KABUL, Afghanistan - One ISAF soldier died and 4 received wounds from an IED while on patrol in the Dila district of Paktika province shortly after midnight today.

“Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends of the brave soldier who was killed today,” said Brigadier General Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson. “These soldiers were harmed while trying to help bring peace and security to the Afghan people.”

It is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of casualties prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
