Three ISAF soldiers died of wounds, one ISAF soldier wounded by suicide attack in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan– Four ISAF soldiers were initially wounded in an insurgent suicide attack in southern Afghanistan, June 8.

The injured soldiers were evacuated to an ISAF base in the area to receive medical care where three soldiers later died of wounds. 

“I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of our fallen soldiers killed in today’s senseless act,” said Brigadier General Carlos Branco, ISAF Spokesperson.

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualties’ nationalities prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been informed.
