ISAF soldier, civilian killed, another 2 soldiers wounded in Ghazni explosion

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier and a civilian interpreter were killed and another two ISAF soldiers were wounded in an explosion during a patrol in Ghazni province today.

The wounded soldiers were transported to an ISAF hospital to be treated.

“I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured by the blast,” said Brigadier General Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson.

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
